The other day Shalyn screamed "Mommy, mommy!" so loud in the morning as we were getting ready for school. I thought something was wrong. I ran over to her and she beamed "I tied my shoes all by myself!" We couldn't help but share how proud she is of herself and we are of her and this new skill! We got her new, bright green shoelaces because all of the kids in my class get special shoelaces when they learn how to tie their shoes!!

Hooray Shalyn! That is a very big accomplishment. Now all your friends in your class will be asking you to tie their shoes for them. :-)
