We had such a great time tailgaiting downtown for FL-GA. Great weather, great friends, great food, too bad the outcome of the game wasn't as great!

Shalyn's Soccer Season

Shalyn has become quite the soccer player! She really enjoyed playing soccer this season and improved her techniques. Grammy, Papa Jack, and Grant came to watch her score a few goals. Her favorite parts of the season were wearing the yellow "practice jerseys," and getting her trophy.

Halloween "Literary Characters"

At my school, students are invited to dress up as Literary Characters (book characters). Shalyn was a scientist. Hector was the peddler from the book,Caps for Sale. I was Camilla from the book, A Bad Case of Stripes. (I wasn't sure that the make-up was going to come off after the first application that stained my fingers drastically...but it all came off. The kids always have a great time at the school carnival seeing everyone dressed up and playing games at the different booths!

Pumpkin Patch

We love visiting the Pumpkin Patch each year and looking at all of the different pumpkins. We got to go with lots of our friends and play in the hay!

A message from Canyon Alvarado!

Marissa's "Shape Party!"

Marissa had a "shape party" at school to celebrate the end of their unit on shapes. Families were invited to come and have a "shape" dinner with the kids. Marissa's teacher brought triangle pizza. We brought circle peas, square carrots, and circle cookies. Other parents brough rectangle gogurts and jello jigglers cut out in heart and star shapes. The kids had a great time and loved being able to show off their "shape skills."

A visit from the Tooth Fairy!

Shalyn had a wiggly tooth for quite a while now and finally on Thursday her she wiggled her tooth so much at school that it fell out! She was so excited and proud! The tooth fairy left her a special little note and left an interesting coin. We had to look up the coin to see where it was from. We found out that it is a Kroner from Denmark! We had never seen a silver coin with a hole in it before. What an exciting memory!!

Shalyn's 6th Birthday!

Shalyn had a Super 6 Birthday! She had a sports themed birthday and the kids got to participate in lots of different sports centers. The weather was great, the activities were fun, the kids were having a good time, and the company couldn't have been better! Thank you all so much for coming and celebrating with Shalyn!

GO GATORS!!!

We were all excited for the first Gator Game of the season. The kids were dressed in their orange and blue. Hector and I got to tailgate with some friends and go to the game with the Klickers! Loved the almost Fall weather. Go Gators!

Shalyn's 1st Day of Kindergarten!

Shalyn 's first day of Kindergarten was "SUPER!" Hector took her to school, she was greeted by "superheroes," she saw Evyn and Kallyn in the same day! She has two AWESOME teachers, which she LOVES!! Hector made her an "Incredible" Kindergartener ID Badge, and also "Proud Mom of a Kindergartener and Proud Dad of a Kindergartener" ID Badges for us to wear. I think we all were so excited to wear them! The day could not have been any better!

Bye-Bye Summer, Hello Kindergarten!

We had an awesome summer, filled with so many activities, trips, and events, even WE couldn't keep up. Although we always get a little sad about the summer coming to an end, this year it wasn't so bad at all because...Shalyn was beginning Kindergarten. Not only was she SO excited, so were we! Of course we were excited about not having a child care payment for her anymore, but more importantly we were excited for her to be beginning a full day of academics and FUN! We threw a "Kickoff to Kindergarten party for her and some of her close friends. The kids had a blast and it was a great way to get ready for school to begin!
